Kevin Thomas Brady received his MFA in Painting and New Forms from the Pratt Institute. A native of Miami and graduate of the New World School for the Arts, he currently resides in New York City, where he continues to paint and exhibit at several emerging galleries. His work was featured within a group of preparators at the "No Soul for Sale" Festival of Independent Artists in July of 2009 at X-Initiative, located at the old Dia address in Chelsea. In December of 2008 he curated an exhibition of paintings and photographs at the debut of Puzzlement Gallery during Art Basel Miami Beach, showcasing work from Andrew Piedilato, James Herbert, David Button, Carter Davis and himself. Most recently, Brady has exhibited with Ad Hoc Art, hosted by AE District at the Moore Building in Miami for Art Basel 2009. This show, titled BKMIA, featured artists from Brooklyn and was curated by Garrison and Allison Buxton.
Additionally, Brady has shown at Art in General (NYC), Spread Art (NYC), and Ad Hoc Art (NYC).
He has also taught History of Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and maintained a workshop for wood-based cabinetry and furniture. Brady works with traditional painting and drawing, experimental painting, sculpture, photography, and internet art.
